We want to share an update about the project for the installation of the barrier against sargassum.
The manufacturing of the barrier has been completed and is currently in the process of being released for its transfer to Mexico. However, there have been delays due to new procedures and customs requirements related to recent provisions applicable to the importation of certain metal components incorporated into the structure of the barrier.
These circumstances have required logistical and administrative adjustments by the companies involved in the importation process, which has generated delays beyond the originally anticipated timelines.
The Association of Colonists continues to closely monitor the project and maintain constant communication with those responsible to expedite the necessary procedures and ensure that the barrier arrives and begins its installation as soon as possible.
We appreciate your understanding and support. We will continue to inform the community in a timely manner as relevant progress is made regarding the transfer and installation of the system.
