This Friday, October 9th, a working meeting took place between the Sargasso Committee and the barrier provider, as part of the preparations to begin its installation in Puerto Aventuras.
During the meeting, a review of the received material and the installation process was conducted, coordinating the next steps and technical aspects necessary to start the work.
While we continue to wait for weather conditions to improve in order to advance with the installation of the barrier at sea, the first anchoring tasks will begin now with the support of specialized divers.
Each step brings us closer to realizing this important project, approved by our community at the Extraordinary Assembly in February of this year, which has required months of planning, coordination, and follow-up.
We want to make a special recognition and thank all members of the Sargasso Committee for the great work, time, and commitment they have dedicated to moving this project forward, as well as to all those involved who continue to contribute efforts to make it a reality.
We will continue to inform our community as the work progresses and conditions allow us to advance with the installation.
We are getting closer!
Good Puerto 💙
