Puerto Aventuras continues to strengthen alliances to tackle sargassum and protect our coasts.
Recently, the President of the Association, Alfonso Serrano Gómez, held a meeting with Admiral Topiltzin Tlacaelel, in which the incorporation of Puerto Aventuras into the national support program for combating sargassum was confirmed.
As part of this collaboration, the Secretary of the Navy will provide support for the collection of sargassum on the beach and at sea, including a dedicated sargassum vessel for Puerto Aventuras, as well as personnel and equipment to strengthen land operations.
Additionally, their support will be available for the safeguarding of the sargassum barrier against storms or weather conditions that require its preventive removal, contributing to protect this important investment of our community.
This coordination with the Government of Mexico and the Secretary of the Navy allows us to advance with greater capacity and support. Puerto Aventuras does not face this challenge alone: we continue to combine efforts and work together to protect our beaches and our environment.
