We want to share a new update on the progress of the sargassum barrier project, a very important initiative for the protection of our beaches and community.

Last week, the supplier began the process of installing the anchors that will be part of the barrier system, marking a new stage in this project that continues to move forward positively.

Additionally, we are very pleased to inform you that thanks to the support of the community, we have raised$5,101,667 pesosfor this project.

As we have shared previously, recent monitoring shows a significant increase in the volume of sargassum in the Atlantic, and the contingency currently facing the region is particularly strong.

In light of this situation, Colonos staff is working daily from very early in the mornings on the removal of sargassum from the beach, making every effort possible to keep our areas in the best possible condition during this season.

We sincerely thank all the residents who have already made their extraordinary contribution approved in the Assembly. For those who still have their payment pending, we want to remind you that approximately$1.5 million pesosis needed to complete the total payment for the barrier, which must be settled by the end of June to continue according to the scheduled calendar.

In the coming days, we will inform you when the barrier is shipped to Puerto Aventuras.

We continue to work together for our beaches and for the future of our community.

💙 Good Puerto
