As we announced previously, work on the bike lane within our complex began last October. Today we want to share the progress, results, and next steps of this important sustainable mobility project.
The objective of this bike lane is to improve road safety and coexistence among pedestrians, cyclists, families, and students, creating a clear and protected path that allows for organized circulation, reduces risks, and encourages more residents to choose bicycles as a means of transportation.
🚲 Phase 1: Completed
We are pleased to inform you that the first phase is now finished, with approximately 1,100 linear meters of bike lane enabled. Currently, work is being done on the signage to correctly differentiate pedestrian paths from exclusive bike lanes.
📌 Total investment for this stage:$201,400.00 MXN.
🚴♀️ Phase 2: In design with citizen participation
The next phase involves expanding the bike lane route to new areas of the complex, with the purpose of connecting more residential zones, access points, and everyday use locations.
Two months ago, a Committee was formed, made up of residents of Puerto Aventuras. Their task is to analyze the safest and most functional routes for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists, ensuring that the expansion meets the real needs of the community.
📍 Estimation for Phase 2:
1,100 additional linear meters.
Estimated investment: $201,400.00 MXN.
Approximate one-time contribution: $24.31 pesos per key.
